       Navratri is the one of the greatest and popular festival of India. Every festival in India as its unique meaning and purpose of celebration. Navratri means worshipping nine forms of goddess Durga for nine days. It is celebrated as victory of good over evil.

During Navratri, devotees worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga:

1. Goddess Shailaputri

2. Goddess Brahmacharini

3. Goddess Chandraghanta

4. Goddess Kushmanda

5. Goddess Skandamata

6. Goddess Katyayani

7. Goddess Kalaratri

        During Navratri, the devotees performs Puja, offer varieties of prasadam to goddess Durga. Devotees also participate in dandiya and garba dance. On the 10th day of Navratri, we celebrate dussehra or Vijaya Dashmi. Dashara is celebrated with pleasure and happiness throughout India. It is a symbol of peace and harmony against the evil spirits. It signifies as victory of good over evil.
